Lied der Narzisse

Earlier this morning, I suddenly felt compelled to draw this scene and thus I did so over the course of the day. The muse just suddenly kissed me after watching a few time lapses of flowers blooming.



It should be noted that the daffodil is... no, let's... never mind.
The melody on her lips is "Einmal am Rhein" by Willi Ostermann, by the way.

I drew this to familiarise myself with with Easy Paint Tool SAI and to indulge in my newly found liking for Mystia Lorelei. The building in the background is the Apollinariskirche here in Remagen, the town where I currently reside. Hey, she is based on a rhenish legend after all.

Akyuu Hieda 4-koma #2

The second part! I used Paint.NET again and drew this over the course of the past wee; it will have been the last time that I used this tool however, as SAI is way superior and shall henceforth be my program of choice.

I merely started drawing this without any deeper meaning.
A fellow TSCer sent me an old album recently, "Be Filled with Feeling", to which I listened today. It had a strange effect on me that I have trouble describing. It didn't awaken any particular mood but made me... feel good. As if just everything was cool and fine. Actually, I could liken it to nostalgia, except without there actually having been a past experience or memory. It was also under the influence of it that I drew this.

Insanity is a very productive thing.

Today has been a strange day. I have been quite tired, slept a lot without feeling refreshed or awake, and was caught in a diffuse mix of bad emotions ranging from rage to empty sadness, neither of which had an apparent reason. Might have been hay fever.
Anyway, I thought that I could not just let those feelings go to waste and thus decided to amplify them with some Kitten music and to channel them into something, which somehow ended up a drawing of Remilia. I just drew without actually thinking about it and my emotions flowed into and guided my hand. I feel very tired and exhausted now, but more peaceful.

I know it looks crude, but if I had drawn everything in full detail it would have taken another week.
See the "#1" in the title? I already have plans for two sequels! Although I'll take a small break from comics for now.

The sun will rise eventually.

A few days ago, I stumbled across an old image I had started to draw months ago but which I never finished and which I uploaded to Deviantart with the title "The sun will never rise." due to me not intending to ever finish it.



It seemed wrong now. The symbolic tragedy of a sun being denied its ascension and sealed with such a pessimistic title seemed very unwelcome to me, which was probably also influenced a bit by the film MK made me watch, and therefore I decided that it would be of symbolic importance to continue and finish it. Which I thus did.



Because it was my explicit desire to complete the already existing image I altered as few as possible. Aside from a single tree and the colours of the sky I left the original base untouched, although these days I would draw a few elements differently from how I did back then.

Ich probierte ein paar Sachen am Hintergrund aus die ich so noch nie versucht hatte. Seitdem ich den Treiber meines Tablets installiert habe läuft das Zeichnen ebenfalls viel geschmeidiger. Außerdem passt diese Szene gerade zu meiner Stimmung...
